Amy Fecher, former Director of the Arkansas Department of Rural Services, was named Deputy Director of AEDC by Governor Asa Hutchinson in April, 2015. Amy has fifteen years of experience working in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors and previously worked in Arkansas state government during the Huckabee administration.
Prior to her appointment, Amy worked for two non-profits, the American Heart Association and Save the Children. Over her time with Save the Children she supported programming, policy and advocacy efforts in Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Kansas. Before her non-profit experience, Amy worked for Hutchinson Group as a consultant and for the state of Arkansas as the Deputy Director of the Arkansas Department of Rural Services and in the Office of the Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee.
Currently, Amy serves as a coach and mentor with the Miracle League of Arkansas and her past service includes positions on the Arkansas Capitol Arts and Ground Commission and the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council.
Amy is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She and her husband, Shawn, along with their three boys make their home in Sherwood.
