Victor Narusis serves the State of Illinois as Deputy Director-Business Development for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, managing DCEO’s field and program staff to proactively engage existing Illinois businesses in their growth and expansion activities while simultaneously working to attract new firms to Illinois. He has worked for more than a decade in economic development, site selection, and commercial real estate in addition to 18 years of experience in commercial banking. He has an MBA in Finance from Saint Louis University and a Public Administration Certificate from Clemson University.
Victor has been heavily involved with local community development efforts through leadership with the Golden Corridor Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, the McHenry County Community Foundation, the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, and economic development corporations for Woodstock, McHenry County, and Lake County. He also has served as a local village council member. Victor has deep roots in southern Illinois with generations of family members from the region.
