ECRC Workshop: Evergreen, AL (9:00 am - 4:00pm)

The Delta Regional Authority presents a series of intensive two-day courses focused on economic development and disaster resiliency strategies to enhance the effectiveness of local elected officials, economic development practitioners, and other community leaders in the Delta region. The workshops are held in partnership with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA).

These intensive boot-camp courses will help prepare local elected officials, community leaders, and economic development practitioners to support economic development and disaster resilience activities in their communities. The courses require no prerequisites, and participants are encouraged to attend any of the training workshops offered.

DeltaCorps, A Program of AmeriCorps and the Delta Regional Authority, is a new team of leaders and volunteers who are going into Delta communities to implement successful action plans and programs through the power of national service. DeltaCorps members serve as AmeriCorps members, earning a living allowance of $12,530 and an education award of $5,700 upon successful completion of 1700 service hours.
