DeltaCorps Service Partners
DeltaCorps members will provide low-income high school students in Tennessee and Arkansas with financial literacy services to ensure future college success and fiscal independence.
DeltaCorps members will serve the Hispanic populations of Jonesboro and Pocahontas by providing translation services for healthcare access, employment opportunities, college preparation, and scholarship applications.
DeltaCorps members will lead economically disadvantaged, at-risk students in environmental stewardship activities.
DeltaCorps members will assist homeowners displaced by poverty or natural disasters in Orleans Parish through workforce development in the field of residential construction.
DeltaCorps members will assist flood-impacted residents throughout the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area and long-term recovery operations in New Orleans. DeltaCorps members manage 2,000 volunteers and transition nearly 300 displaced residents into safe, sanitary housing by the end of the year.
DeltaCorps members will mentor 8th grade through high school students with the goal of increasing student attendance and homework completion rates in the Frayser-Raleigh community of Memphis, Tennessee.
DeltaCorps member will facilitate active neighboring within the intentionally designed neighborhood for post-9/11 veterans and military families to produce healthy outcomes by connecting veterans to needed supports and services, hosting workshops, and leading classes.
DeltaCorps members will complete service activities to help low-income homeowners, the elderly, the disabled, military veterans, and the single head of households live safely and securely in their homes.
DeltaCorps service members will enhance existing programming by targeting the root causes of hunger – income, education, and access to healthy foods -- in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes. Second Harvest serves 23 total parishes in South Louisiana.
