Delta Doctors New Clarification Notes
As of May 15, 2006, the following new clarification notes have been implemented to the "Delta Doctors" program:
- The DRA internal checklist, located on www.dra.gov should be completed and included in the J-1 visa waiver application to the Authority. If documentation required in the checklist is omitted or does not meet the "Delta Doctors" Program Guidelines, the application will be mailed back to the attorney and will be placed in the back of the current applications that are in the DRA queue for review.
- A picture of each physician should be emailed to ataylor@dra.gov before the DRA will recommend the J-1 application to the Department of State.
- It is the health facility's responsibility to submit the DRA Physician Employment Verification Form to the DRA. This form, located on www.dra.gov is not to be submitted with the waiver application, but is to be completed and mailed to the DRA within the physician's first week of practice.
- The DRA will not accept recommendation and/or support letters for inclusion of the J-1 application once the application has been submitted to the DRA.
Please mail applications, compliance forms, physician employment verification forms, etc,:
