DRA Statement on President Biden’s Signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

November 15, 2021

CLARKSDALE, MS – Delta Regional Authority (DRA) issued the following statement on today’s signing of the bipartisan infrastructure bill by President Biden:

“Delta Regional Authority applauds President Biden and Congressional leaders for signing this historical legislation to improve our nation’s infrastructure,” said incoming Delta Regional Authority Alternate Co-Chairwoman Leslie Durham. “We see firsthand how federal investments into the Delta’s infrastructure improves the economic viability of the region. Every dollar invested in improving water and sewer systems, transportation networks, and broadband infrastructure helps build safer, connected, and more resilient communities, thereby increasing economic opportunities and quality of life for our residents.  DRA is in accord with President Biden’s confidence in former Louisiana Lieutenant Governor and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu to oversee implementation of this legislation, and we look forward to partnering with him to put these dollars to work.”
