U.S. Department of Defense to hold Innovative Readiness Training from June 15th – 25th in Hopkinsville, KY.
HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Delta Regional Authority (DRA), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), will welcome media to tour the Western Kentucky Wellness Mission on Tuesday, June 14th in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Location and time are listed below.
The Western Kentucky Wellness Mission is a Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program, a DoD military training opportunity that delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness while simultaneously providing key healthcare services with lasting benefits for Delta communities. By utilizing their extensive resources, the military is able to meet some of the region’s most urgent healthcare needs. Among the services provided during IRT missions are basic medical and wellness exams, dental exams, extractions and fillings, and veterinary wellness.

The following guidelines will be strictly adhered to:
- Time will be allotted after the tour for interviews. No military members can be interviewed during the tour.
- Media must stay with the group during the tour and media availability.
- Still cameras and handheld video allowed; however, we request you avoid taking any photos of children.
Please meet at the main entrance of the school promptly at the start time noted above. Those arriving after the tour begins will miss the opportunity to tour the mission site.
