U.S. Department of Defense to hold Innovative Readiness Training from June 29th – July 8th in Ava, Eminence, and Houston, MO.
AVA, MO – Delta Regional Authority (DRA), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), will welcome media to tour the South Central Missouri Wellness Mission on Tuesday, June 28th in Ava, MO. Location and time are listed below.
The South Central Missouri Wellness Mission is a Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program, a DoD military training opportunity that delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness while simultaneously providing key healthcare services with lasting benefits for Delta communities. By utilizing their extensive resources, the military is able to meet some of the region’s most urgent healthcare needs at no cost to patients. Among the services provided during IRT missions are basic medical and wellness exams, dental exams, extractions and fillings, vision exams, and single vision glasses.

The following guidelines will be strictly adhered to:
- Time will be alloted after the tour for interviews. No military members can be interviewed during the tour unless authorized personel.
- Media must stay with the group during the tour and media availability.
- Still cameras and handheld video allowed; however, we request you avoid taking any photos of children.
Please meet at the main entrance of MOCH Wellness Center at the start time noted above. Those arriving after the tour begins will miss the opportunity to tour the mission site.
