Susan Edwards joined Delta Regional Authority in 2018 as the Executive Assistant to the Federal Co-Chairman. Beginning in 2020, she became a Program Analyst with her primary focus on workforce programming and expanding in 2021 to small business and entrepreneur initiatives. Susan also contributes to the agency’s programs and initiatives at large through technological innovations and marketing and branding efforts.
With a career spanning 25 years, she has garnered a versatile and unique skillset in project management, accounting, marketing, communications, media relations, event planning and administrative management in commercial real estate, non-profit higher education, corporate banking and now government. She has served as the event coordinator for Political Animals Club since 2011, a networking club for politically interested parties founded in 1983 by former President Bill Clinton key advisor, Skip Rutherford. With a commitment to giving back to the community, Susan serves as Vice President on the board of The Helping Hand of Greater Little Rock and as a board member of the Central Arkansas Advisory Board of the ALS Arkansas Chapter. She also volunteers at her alma mater, Mount Saint Mary Academy. Susan attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
She is a life-long resident of Little Rock, Arkansas. Since 2017, Susan and her husband, Peter, have been the owners of Lazy Pete’s, a local Little Rock restaurant specializing in Gulf Coast cuisine in a casual atmosphere. They have two children, Ethan and Grace.
