Crystal G. Talley, originally from Pisgah, Alabama, earned an Associate of Science Degree in Technical and Vocational Education from Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Alabama; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama; and a Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Crystal has been employed by the State of Alabama for twenty years, eighteen of those with the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA). During her career at ADECA she has worked with numerous federal grant programs and currently holds the position of Community Services Unit (CSU) Chief within the Community and Economic Development Division. The CSU consists of programs such as the Land and Water Conservation Fund, Recreational Trails Program, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, Emergency Solutions Grant, Alabama Enterprise Zone Program, Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Delta Regional Authority. It is anticipated that the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission will also be added to this unit.
