Delta Regional Authority Announces Community Infrastructure Fund

Clarksdale, MS – The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) has announced funding availability for the Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF) that will support economic and community development needs within DRA’s region. Approximately $30 million is available to address basic public and transportation infrastructure, as well as flood-control issues for communities within DRA’s eight-state service area. Funding for this program has been made available, in part, by the 2018 Farm Bill and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, PL 117-58) signed by President Biden.

“The Community Infrastructure Fund is a unique tool that allows us to expand and invest in the resiliency of the region’s public and transportation infrastructure. These investments will not only help improve residents’ quality of life but also increase economic opportunities in some of the most persistently impoverished areas of the country,” said Federal Co-Chairman, Dr. Corey Wiggins.
