The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) published its Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to solicit applications for grants under the 2023 Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF). This funding availability will support economic and community development needs within DRA’s region. Approximately $30 million is available to address basic public and transportation infrastructure, as well as flood-control issues for communities within DRA’s eight-state service area.
Under federal law, at least 75 percent of DRA funds must be invested in economically distressed counties and parishes and isolated areas of distress in the region.
The purpose of the CIF NOFA is to provide an overview of the program and the specific requirements needed to complete an application. For more information on CIF and how to apply: Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF) – Delta Regional Authority (dra.gov).
Funding for this program has been made available, in part, by the 2018 Farm Bill and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, PL 117-58) signed by President Biden.
