2025 Delta Workforce Grant Program Virtual Pre-Award Technical Assistance Workshop Scheduled for Nov. 19

Clarksdale, Miss. – The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) will be hosting a Virtual Pre-Award Technical Assistance Workshop for those interested in learning more about the 2025 Delta Workforce Grant Program (DWP) funding opportunity. The workshop will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 2-4 p.m. CT, via Zoom.

The purpose of the 2025 DWP Pre-Award TA Workshop is to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the DWP Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to help develop competitive applications and to introduce the DRA’s grants management system and give a thorough overview of the application and submission process. Those interested in attending the virtual workshop can register at www.dra.gov/events/.

On Sept. 20, DRA released a FOA to solicit applications for grants under the 2025 DWP. Under the FOA, DRA will make available $4 million for DWP project grants, with awards ranging between $50,000-$300,000. The DWP supports projects and initiatives that create a more vibrant economic future for the Delta and Alabama Black Belt regions by expanding opportunities to recruit, train, and retain a diverse and local workforce; aligning workforce and economic development strategies; creating sustainable talent pipelines; establishing or enhancing locally and regionally significant sector-based partnerships; and supporting enhanced workforce productivity through investments in innovative programming or services. The deadline for submitting a proposal is Friday, Dec. 20, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
